Sunderland boss Roy Keane has confirmed that goalkeeper Ben Alnwick should sign for Tottenham in January - and he hopes to make the loan stay of Marton Fulop into a permanent transfer.

Alnwick, who lost his first-team place to veteran Darren Ward in October, has become increasingly frustrated at the Stadium of Light.

And Keane expects to 19-year-old custodian to sign for the Premiership club in the January transfer window.

Meanwhile, Keane wants to keep hold of Fulop, who arrived in the north-east on loan earlier in the month.

"Ben has been frustrated at not playing first-team football recently," he told the Sunderland Echo. He has been to see me a few times, so it looks as though he'll be going on his way.

"It looks as though it's a done deal, but you never say for certain in this business because there's always something that can go wrong."

Keane added: "Marton has joined us on loan until January but yes, we definitely want to take him on full-time.

"He's a young keeper who is hungry and ambitious to do well and he's exactly the sort of player that we want here."
