Boothroyd reveals O'Donovan interest

Colchester manager Aidy Boothroyd has admitted he is weighing up a summer swoop for Hartlepool's on-loan Sunderland striker Roy O'Donovan. The 24-year-old hit two goals against the Us in their 3-1 defeat at Victoria Park last month and has now scored nine times in 14 games. "Roy O'Donovan is a player I like," admitted Boothroyd. "I thought he did very well against us but he's just one of many I'm looking at." O'Donovan will be out of contract at the Stadium of Light in the summer. Hartlepool boss Chris Turner wants to keep him on a permanent deal while Southampton have also been linked.
