Sunderland goalkeeper Darren Ward has penned an extended contract at the Stadium of Light that will keep him at the club until the end of next season.
The Black Cats snapped up the 32-year-old on an initial one-year deal last summer following his release by Norwich City.
The Wales international has taken over from Ben Alnwick in the Sunderland goal since mid-October and has made 18 appearances for the club.
He told the club's official website: "The contract extension has taken effect and I guess it means I'll be here next year, unless I get sold.
"I'm really happy here, it's where I want to be. It's been a fantastic move for me and it's worked out well."
