Sunderland boss Roy Keane is interested in signing Tottenham midfielder Steed Malbranque, according to the Frenchman's agent.

The Black Cats manager has been linked with a £4million bid for the former Fulham star who has spent the last two seasons at White Hart Lane.

According to Malbranque's agent, Frederic Dobraje, there is only one club interested in his player.

He told the News of the World: "Sunderland are the only team to have been in touch about Steed.

"No other club, including Aston Villa, has made contact."
