Black Cats 'weighing up' Young raid

Sunderland are reportedly weighing up a move for Aston Villa's out-of-favour full-back Luke Young as they bid to fill their right-back void.[LNB] Black Cats boss Steve Bruce is keen on a move for former Middlesbrough star Young, while he is also still looking at former loanee Alan Hutton and being close to a deal for Argentinian Marcos Angeleri.[LNB]And although two of that trio could be on Wearside next season, Bruce's final decision on who could come down to hard bargaining.[LNB]Unless Tottenham slash their absurdly high valuation of Hutton, former England international Young is an attractive option, while Estudiantes star Angeleri looks the most certain arrival, but may not emerge as Bruce's first-choice right-back next season.[LNB]And Young would jump at a move to the Stadium of Light after falling out of favour with club and country.[LNB]The 30-year-old has been told he is surplus to requirements at Villa, who value him at around £3million - less than a third of what Sunderland have been quoted for last season's loan star Hutton.
