Black Cats pounce for Muhammadi - Report

Sunderland have reached a deal to sign Egypt international Ahmed Al-Muhammadi on loan, according to the defender's club.[LNB] The Black Cats are believed to have made an initial move for the full-back in the January transfer window but his club, ENPPI, ignored the approach.[LNB]ENPPI, though, have now agreed to a season-long loan of Al-Muhammadi for a fee of £500,000 while Sunderland will also have the option to buy the 22-year-old for £2million at the end of 2010/11, with ENPI holding the right to obtain 15 per cent of the player in any re-sale.[LNB]Al-Muhammadi, who took part in the 2009 Confederations Cup, is expected in England on Wednesday to complete the final discussions of his move.[LNB]"We have worked out the details of the move with Sunderland's officials," ENPPI football director Alaa Abdul-Sadek told FilGoal.com.[LNB]"Al-Muhammadi will travel to England late on Tuesday to wrap up the negotiations and undergo a medical.[LNB]"We agreed to loan him to Sunderland on a season-long loan contract for £1million with a view to a permanent deal."[LNB]ENPPI announced in May that Sunderland had tabled an offer for the wing-back but Steve Bruce's club denied the statement.[LNB]Al-Muhammadi's agent, Nader Shawki, revealed that both clubs agreed on the transfer fee after prolonged talks.[LNB]"They first disagreed over the financial matters and the payment method but eventually overcame their differences," said Shawki.
