Bent seals Sunderland switch

Darren Bent has completed his protracted move to Sunderland from Tottenham. The Black Cats have paid an initial £10million - which breaks their club record - for the England striker, who finally penned his deal on Wednesday. It brings to an end a long chase for Bruce, who lodged his bid for Bent last month. Bent himself has been in the North East for the last few days and completed his medical on Monday. He has had to wait until talks were completed but he has now finalised his move and becomes Sunderland's fourth signing of the summer following on from the arrivals of Frazier Campbell, Lorik Cana and Paulo Da Silva.
