Bendtner makes Arsenal pledge

New Sunderland signing Nicklas Bendtner has accused Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger of forcing him out of the Gunners.

Bendtner completed a 12-month loan switch to the Black Cats on transfer deadline day with a view to a permanent £8m move to the Stadium of Light next summer and vowed never to play for Arsenal again because of the treatment he has received.

Bendtner claims that Wenger didn't give him a fair chance at the Emirates in the last two years after he had a bad car crash and is desperate to prove the Gunners manager wrong. The 23-year-old Denmark international told The Sun: "I will never go back to Arsenal. If I can have it my way, I will never play for them again."After my car accident I never really got the chance to earn a spot in the first team.

That is over one-and-a-half years with no real chance to prove myself."I am really looking forward to playing for Sunderland and then we will see next summer. I will find a new club - but I will not go back to Arsenal, that's for sure."
