Bendtner hails fighting spirit

Sunderland striker Nicklas Bendtner believes their fighting spirit will soon have them climbing up the Premier League table.[LNB] The Black Cats sit in 16th spot with just six points from the opening seven games this season to keep the pressure on Steve Bruce.[LNB]However, Bendtner feels the fighting spirit they showed in coming from two goals down on Saturday to draw 2-2 with West Brom will stand them in good stead for the rest of the campaign[LNB]"The fighting spirit has always been there, we've always known that," said Bendtner. "We need to keep trying to play forward.[LNB]"We have a good team here and we should start climbing the table in the games to come."[LNB]Bendtner was delighted to score his first goal for the club against West Brom since arriving on loan from Arsenal.[LNB]"I maybe got a bit of luck with my goal but the build-up to it was amazing," added Bendtner.[LNB]"I think it might have been on target without the deflection but I guess we will never know. Either way, I am happy to have scored my first goal for Sunderland."
