Ball Recommends Sunderland Rookie

Rookie Sunderland midfielder Adam Reed has joined League One strugglers Portsmouth on loan ... recommended by Sunderland legend.

As Sunderland-mad revealed earlier this week, Reed is one of the club’s academy of products who has been told he can leave the Stadium of Light and the 21-year-old will join Pompey on an initial month-long loan, which could be extended until the end of the season.

Portsmouth caretaker boss Guy Whittingham said: “Adam comes highly recommended by Kevin Ball, has played at this level before and will bring us plenty of energy.”
