Asamoah Gyan was too tired to continue dancing after scoring 'perfect' goal on his debut
Sunderland's Asamoah Gyan was so taken aback by the pace of the Premier League that he's admitted being too tired to continue his celebratory dance after scoring at Wigan on Saturday. [LNB]The £13million deadline day signing from Rennes was just 21 minutes into his top flight bow - having replaced Danny Welbeck at half-time - when he slotted home Jordan Henderson's expertly measured cross. [LNB]The Ghanaian international promptly burst into a funky new dance routine before he was mobbed by his team-mates. [LNB]But the striker also saved special praise for the creator. [LNB]'I think my goal was really nice,' he told the Sunderland Echo after the game. 'Perfect. The goal was very, very amazing and it was great that it was for my new club. [LNB]'Jordan (Henderson) did so well, taking one man on and producing a perfect cross to create my goal.[LNB]'It was one of my best goals, though - I don't score goals like that all the time!'[LNB]After Cattermole's dismissal for two bookable offences, Gyan feared he may not get the chance to play at the DW Stadium.[LNB]'It was really, really difficult for us after having a man sent off in the first half and, being a striker, I did not expect to get on because of that,' Gyan admitted.[LNB]'I thought it was possible I might get on with 20 minutes to go, but the manager did so well tactically and I thank him for having confidence in me.[LNB]'The manager knows I am a typical number nine who can keep the ball on the flanks for the rest to join in. That was what he planned and it worked for him. [LNB]'I am someone who is unpredictable.
