The agent of former Internazionale coach Roberto Mancini has rejected reports suggesting that his client is set to be named as the new manager of Sunderland.
Mancini and Wigan Athletic's Steve Bruce are the two leading contenders for the Black Cats post, with Ricky Sbragia having resigned straight after the last game of the Premier League season.
Agent Giorgio De Giorgis said: "Roberto is aware of those reports.
"But we have not received an offer, nor have we been in touch with anyone from Sunderland.
"There has been interest from English teams but Sunderland is not one of them. However, no official offers have been made."
Mancini himself had earlier told Sky Italia: "I am honoured to have had an offer from Sunderland Football Club. It is a fantastic opportunity.
"It will be truly wonderful to lead such a prestigious and historic club in England after a year of sitting on the sidelines."
