Rani Khedira, the teenage brother of Real Madrid's Germany star Sami, has extended his contract at Bundesliga side VfB Stuttgart until 2015, the club announced Monday.

Having just turned 19 on Sunday, Rani is in the senior Stuttgart squad and although the Germany Under-19 midfielder has yet to make his Bundesliga debut, he is ear-marked as a name to watch for the future.

"Rani has developed really well here. He is a player with good prospects and has a good personality for his age," said VfB's director of sport Fredi Bobic.

"We trust him to take the next step in his development and establish himself in the senior squad."

Sami Khedira, who has 36 caps for Germany, spent 15 years at VfB Stuttgart, making nearly 100 Bundesliga appearances, before the 25-year-old joined Real Madrid after the 2010 World Cup.
