Pardo makes Stuttgart exit

VfB Stuttgart have confirmed that Mexico midfielder Pavel Pardo has left the club to head home to rejoin Club America.

The 32-year-old had been with the Bundesliga outfit since the summer of 2006, helping Stuttgart win the league title in his first season in Germany.

However, Pardo, who has won nearly 150 international caps, has now opted to go back to Mexico.

VfB sporting director Horst Heldt told the club's official website: "Pavel had an attractive offer from America which he wanted to accept.

"We accepted his decision and agreed to cancel his contract. We wish him all the best for the future; good health and lots of sporting success."
