Molinaro pleased with switch

Stuttgart defender Cristian Molinaro is pleased he made the move to Germany from Italian giants Juventus after finding his first-team chances limited.

The 26-year-old joined the Bundesliga outfit last month on loan with a view to making the switch permanent after growing frustrated in Turin.

He featured prominently in the 1-1 Champions League draw against reigning champions Barcelona on Tuesday night and after two years at the Old Lady, he is more than happy with the way things have turned out.

He said: "Do I have any regrets? No.

"Of course, it's easier to say in hindsight what could have been. I have been held responsible for some choices even though I had been told differently.

"But Stuttgart allowed me to play and take on Barcelona. I wanted a life-changing experience and to play in the Champions League."
