Bosnia and Herzegovina striker Vedad Ibisevic has joined VfB Stuttgart from German league rivals Hoffenheim, it was announced on Wednesday after he signed a four-and-a-half year deal.
Neither side has disclosed the transfer fee, but the price is reported to be around five million euros and the 27-year-old trained with his new team-mates in Stuttgart on Wednesday afternoon.
"I am delighted that the transfer went through," said Ibisevic, having passed the medical examination.
"Stuttgart are a great club with huge potential.
"I will do my part so that we can get back up the table."
His new team are 10th in the table, while Hoffenheim are eighth in the Bundesliga.
Ibisevic, who has won 34 caps for his country, has played for Hoffenheim since 2007, making 123 appearances and scoring 48 goals in both first and second division games.
His most impressive season was the first half of the 2008/09 campaign when he scored 18 goals in 17 matches after his side were promoted to the Bundesliga for the first time before a knee injury ruled him out for the rest of the season.
"He has proved his goalscoring in recent years and we are convinced he will show his skills with us again," said Stuttgart coach Bruno Labbadia.
