Hleb desperate to leave Stuttgart

On-loan midfielder Alex Hleb will definitely leave VfB Stuttgart when his contract expires at the end of the season.

The Belarus international is on loan to the Bundesliga side from Barcelona but is unhappy at being continually substituted since Christian Gross replaced Markus Babbel in the coaching hot-seat at the turn of the year.

"Obviously my contract only states that I can play for 60 minutes of the match," he said sarcastically after being replaced in the second half of Saturday's 2-1 win over Eintracht Frankfurt.

"But the team clearly plays better without me, so the coach has done everything right.

"I have no idea what he expects from me, but I have a problem with him. Before the Koln game we had a chat but nothing came of it.

"The chances of me staying with Stuttgart are nil."
