Harnik extends Stuttgart deal to 2016

Austrian international forward Martin Harnik has extended his contract with Stuttgart by three years until 2016, the Bundesliga side announced on Friday.

"It was clear from the start that I'd sign immediately if Stuttgart wanted me to," said Harnik, who joined the club from second-tier Fortuna Duesseldorf in 2010.

Harnik, 24, is Stuttgart's top scorer this season with six goals and has supplied as many assists. He has 28 caps for Austria.
