Stuttgart striker Cacau has announced he will leave the Bundesliga outfit in the summer when his contract expires.
The Brazil-borm Germany international has notched eight goals in 20 appearances so far this term and his form triggered the club's management to offer him a new one-year deal.
But he has turned the terms down and it looks likely he will move on at the end of the current campaign.
Speaking to the club's website, he said: "I have thought for a long time about this step, and finally decided that after seven good years I will look for a new challenge.
"I have had a great time at Stuttgart and have many friends and have enjoyed great success.
"We have not found an agreement now, but I'll never forget my time here and will keep working in the remaining games to ensure we have a successful season."
