Stranraer set to be without Christian Nade against fellow strugglers Peterhead

Bottom-of-the-table Stranraer have striker Christian Nade struggling to face second-bottom Peterhead at Stair Park due to an ankle injury.

Scott Robertson is missing due to work commitments while Ross Barbour left the club this week to join Troon Juniors.

Stranraer manager Brian Reid said: "We have not enjoyed the best of results in the league so far but things will turn. We played really well against Airdrie last weekend and if we had not missed a penalty we would have got something from the game.

"Peterhead will be a challenge, they always are, but it is a game we can win."

Peterhead recruited former St Johnstone midfielder Scott Brown this week and he is set to make his debut against the Blues.

Goalkeeper Graeme Smith is still not fully over a knee injury and looks set for a place on the bench with Fraser Hobday, while Jamie Stevenson is out due to a hamstring problem.

Manager Jim McInally said: "Both clubs will be disappointed with how their league seasons have started but both will come good and climb the table.

"It would be great if we could start our improvement with a win in this game but they will be saying the exact same thing before kick-off."
