Steven Bell suspended as out-of-form Stranraer host Airdie

Stranraer will be without Steven Bell for the visit of Airdrie as the captain continues to serve a suspension.

The Blues will also miss Lee Mair (groin), Chris Aitken (calf) and Andy Stirling (foot) through injuries.

Dale Keenan and Jamie McCluskey are in line to return after knocks, and manager Brian Reid is looking for his side to repeat the success they had over the Diamonds earlier this season.

Reid said: "We enjoyed a 1-0 win at the Excelsior back in October and picking up another three points from them would be terrific. We beat Buckie Thistle in our last game as we were ruthless in front of goal and we will need a similar approach if we are to win this game."

Airdrie will miss Chris O'Neil through suspension at Stair Park, but Caolan McAleer could feature after completing a ban of his own.

Fit-again striker Jim Lister could finally make a return to the squad after nine months out with a groin injury, but will have to settle for a place on the bench.

Manager Gary Bollan said: "We want to win back the points that we lost to Stranraer earlier in the season. We have lost our last two league games and that has cost us a couple of places so we are keen to change that.

"They have not played since drawing Celtic at home in the Scottish Cup however that game is still a few weeks away so they will be concentrating fully on us."
