Five-star Alloa display sinks Stranraer
Braces from Greig Spence and Jordan Kirkpatrick gave Alloa all three points in an entertaining 5-2 victory over Stranraer at Stair Park in their Ladbrokes League One clash.
It was Stranraer who opened the scoring in the fourth minute through Craig Malcolm but the visitors hit back with five goals in 23 first-half minutes to go into the break 5-1 up.
Spence levelled on 17 minutes with Iain Flannigan putting Alloa ahead six minutes later before Kirkpatrick's double and Spence's second rounded off an emphatic half of attacking football.
Malcolm pulled a goal back for the hosts two minutes after the break but it was not enough as the away side made it two wins from two to open their account.
