Stranraer miss out on second

Stranraer missed the chance to go second after falling to a 3-1 defeat to Berwick Rangers.

The visitors, who are now up to sixth, took the lead after 27 minutes when Stuart Noble finished clinically from close range for his first goal since November.

But Stranraer went into the break on level term thanks to Stuart McColm's stoppage-time equaliser. The striker fired past Jamie Barclay from close range after being found in the area by Sean Winter's pass.

Berwick regained the lead in the 68th minute through Fraser McLaren's well-taken goal after good work from Darren Gribben.

They secured the three points with 10 minutes left when John Ferguson fired past David Mitchell to score his first goal for the club.
