Diamonds sparkle against the Blues

Airdrie enjoyed a profitable visit to Stranraer as they returned with a handsome 3-1 victory.

There was little to choose between the sides until the hosts failed to clear a corner, and Bryan Prunty pounced well after a good save by David McGurn.

The Diamonds' dominance continued after the interval. Marc Fitzpatrick played a long ball over the top and Taylor Morgan netted with a perfect lob.

Craig Malcolm briefly brought Brian Reid's men back into it with a powerful header from Craig Pettigrew's cross.

But Liam Watt's speculative strike caught out McGurn with 20 minutes to play, and effectively sealed the points for Gary Bollan's men.
