Annan Athletic 2-1 Stranraer: Report

08 March 2011 22:34
Miserable night for Stranraer Ten-man Stranraer fell four points behind Second Division leaders Arbroath as Annan came from behind to register a 2-1 home victory. The visitors took the lead in the 25th minute when Paul Murphy headed in a Scott Agnew corner from six yards before suffering a double setback. Annan were level within a minute as Sean O`Connor fired into the bottom corner from 12 yards and three minutes later Stranraer had Michael Moore dismissed for violent conduct. Annan went ahead four minutes before the break with Ian Harty heading home an Aaron Muirhead cross. Stranraer rarely looked like getting an equaliser and with Arbroath winning 2-0 at Albion it also saw them fall further adrift with the leaders also having a game in hand.
