Stranraer too much for Annan again

Stranraer completed the double over Division Three leaders Annan with an impressive 3-0 victory at Galabank.

The win moves the Stair Park men up to third in the table, while the Galabankies, who suffered their second straight league defeat, remain top.

Stuart McColm gave Stranraer the lead with a powerful 25-yard strike in the 18th minute.

Just after the half hour, Stranraer found the net for a second time through Martin Grehan's neat close-range finish.

McColm then saw his stinging shot saved by Alex Mitchell as the away side continued to dominate.

They kept up the pressure in the second half, with Craig Malcolm and Stephen Stirling both testing Mitchell.

And it was no surprise when they added a third, Stephen Stirling blasting the ball into the roof of the net from 25 yards with 11 minutes left.
