Stoke City defender Andy Wilkinson is set to reject offers from a couple of Championship club to remain with the Premier League new boys.
The 23-year-old still has two years left on his current contract with the Potters and is eager to enjoy life in the top-flight.
He told The Sentinel: "It is nice to have clubs interested in you, but I thought I did well here last season.
"Stoke are my hometown club, they are in the Premier League and this is a chance to play Premier League football. This is where I want to be and hopefully is also where the club wants me to be.
"Stoke being in the Premier League means the world to me, but also to all my family and friends. I am part of the team and squad and that is a dream come true.
"Hopefully, I can get a place in that team. I will be getting as fit as I can and be knocking on the manager's door for a place in the team. Hopefully the manager will give me the shirt."
