TP convinces Francis to sign up for Potters

Former Spurs boss signs on 59-year-old Gerry Francis has signed up to another 12 months as part of Stoke's backroom staff. Francis had been thinking over a contract extension, with the reported 60,000 a year miles travelling a problem for Francis but he has now decided to stay on as one of Tony Pulis right hand men. Former England captain Francis has top flight managerial experience with Queens Park Rangers and Tottenham Hotspur and has been invaluable to Tony Pulis during the Potters three seasons in the top division.
