Clancy had always been very fashion orientated with ambitions to become a model, taking part in the second cycle of livings 'Britains next top model' where she came 2nd place, then going on to star in her own reality show with former runway model Janice Dickinson 'Abbey and Janice: Beauty and the Best'in an attempt to crack America.

Clancy was ranked 37th in FHM magazine's100 sexiest women in the world poll of 2007 but dropped down to number 55 the following year. In 2009, Clancy had moved up to 12th place,and in 2010 she went up to 10th place in the annual poll.
