Stoke told Jermaine Pennant will cost them 6m

Stoke have been told by Spaniards Real Zaragoza that will need to pay £6million to keep Jermaine Pennant. Stoke boss Tony Pulis wants to make Pennant's move permanent when his loan deal runs out at the end of December. The Potters will no doubt be stunned by the asking price, especially when Zaragoza paid nothing for the player when he was released by Liverpool 18 months ago. Can they keep him? 'We would like Jermaine to stay, but we do have a structure at this club that the chairman and his family want to keep,' he said. 'Theyhave moved heaven and earth at times to get in players we've wanted, but there's no way we will put the club at risk financially. 'If we can do it, brilliant. If we can't, we can't. 'I think Jermaine would love to come and be a part of this club. It's just whether we can do the deal or not.'
