Stoke Confirm Red Card Appeal

Stoke City have confirmed today that they are indeed going to appeal against the red card given to Robert Huth On Saturday.

The big German was given a straight red card by referee Martin Atkinson following a tackle on David Meyler just before the end of the first half.

Atkinson’s decision, far from the first strange thing he has done anger both Tony Pulis and the home crowd and even Huth himself who had done little to deserve such an action.

Tony Pulis had indicated afterwards he was likely to appeal against the sending off and suggested play-acting by Meyler.
