Stoke City goalkeeper Thomas Sorensen has targeted a long-term stay in the Potteries, following a fine first season at the Britannia Stadium.
The 33-year-old Denmark international impressed following his arrival from Aston Villa, helping City prove the doubters wrong by surviving in the Premier League with some ease.
Sorensen told Ekstra Bladet: "My plans are to end my career abroad but that's a few years ahead of me.
"I am 33 and my contract with Stoke ends in 2011. If everything goes as planned, I hope to stay for some more years."
Meanwhile, Peter Reid's appointment as Potters assistant manager has moved a step closer after he stepped down as coach of the Thailand national team.
The 53-year-old is now expected to be confirmed in his Britannia Stadium role in the near future.
