Stoke City goalkeeper Steve Simonsen has pledged his long-term future to the club by signing a new contract running until the summer of 2010.
The 28-year-old has been at the Britannia Stadium since the summer of 2004, having joined City on a free transfer from Everton and has made more than 130 appearances for the Potters.
Simonsen told the club's official website: "I am delighted to extend my stay with the club for another two years.
"I am an ambitious person and I am happy to be at a club which shares my ambition.
"The management are working tirelessly to get some new players in, morale in the squad is high and we are looking to build on the last three years and improve even more this season."
