Shawcross: Stoke will cope

Defender Ryan Shawcross is confident Stoke City won't fold under pressure as they bid for a place in the Premier League. The Potters will secure automatic promotion at the expense of Hull City if they avoid defeat by relegation-plagued Leicester City at the Britannia Stadium on Saturday. Stoke could also win the Championship should they better the result of fellow high-fliers West Bromwich Albion at QPR. "It is still in our own hands. A win at home and we are up," he told The Sentinel. "We are at home in front of a full house and Hull are away at Ipswich, which is a really tough place to go. I would much rather be in our position than theirs. "We still want to win the Championship, so we need another win on Sunday. "Hopefully West Brom will slip up, and then we will go up as champions. "We are aiming to go up, but if we are champions we will be going up with a bit more pride."
