    Pulis to review Huth clash

    18 Oct 2009 - 10:33:33

Stoke City defender Robert Huth could be disciplined by the club after appearing to strike West Ham United defender Matthew Upson in the face during the Potters' 2-1 victory at the Britannia Stadium.

The referee did not punish the German defender who seemed to catch Upson with his right arm, the Hammers star only being able to return to the action after several minutes of intensive treatment.

City boss Tony Pulis said after the victory: "I'll have a look at it and obviously, if he's done it, we'll speak to him and deal with him in-house.

"I thought the back four were very good but, if he's done that, it's a disappointment."

The incident marred another fine display by Pulis' side as they moved into the top half of the table thanks to James Beattie's brace.

Pulis added: "I think that's most probably West Ham's strongest team this season - apart from Scott Parker (who was suspended) - and they've some good players.

"They finished ninth last season and they didn't do that by being mugs so we knew it was going to be a tough game.

"They keep the ball very well and play in a way that they try to suck you out and then slide balls down the side.

"But I don't honestly think (goalkeeper) Thomas Sorensen had too much to do. The lads in front of him did fantastically, although we had to do a lot of chasing."
