    Pulis revels in Potters form

    12 Nov 2008 - 08:00:29

Tony Pulis believes Stoke City's achievement in reaching the last eight of the Carling Cup is another step in a fantastic season.

The Potters were 2-0 winners over League Two side Rotherham United on Tuesday evening courtesy of goals from Glenn Whelan and Danny Pugh.

Pulis' side are also currently riding high in 12th place in the Premier League and the experienced manager was left to enthuse on an impressive start to the season.

He said: "Whoever we get now in the last eight we will handle it. The big sides are still there, but we'll not be frightened of that.

"I just want another home draw, we will enjoy that. It is the first time for a very long time that this club has been in the finals of a major competition.

"We are 12th in the league and in the league cup quarter-finals - it is absolutely fantastic times for us."
