Pulis pleased for fans
Stoke manager Tony Pulis dedicated his side's 2-0 victory over Wigan in their last home match of the season to the club's supporters. Ricardo Fuller broke the deadlock after the break and James Beattie headed home Matt Etherington's cross in the 76th minute to clinch Stoke's 10th victory of the season at the Britannia Stadium, form which has ensured they will have a second successive campaign in the top flight. Pulis said: "We are absolutely delighted to have won here for the supporters, who have been fantastic. "It has been a difficult week because after we won at Hull we knew we were safe and the relief of having Premier League football next year takes the edge off. "We wanted the players to enjoy the week, but also turn up and have a right crack. "I thought Wigan were the better team in the first half and we struggled a little bit to get to terms with the conditions. In the second half we had a poor five minutes but after that we gradually got on top."
