    Pulis lauds Potters survival

    04 Apr 2010 - 13:31:44

Stoke City manager Tony Pulis believes that his side are now definitely safe in the Premier League for another season, following a 2-0 home win over lowly Hull City.

Goals from Ricardo Fuller and Liam Lawrence moved the Potters on to 42 points, just three short of their tally from last season.

Pulis told the club's official website: "I think that's enough to keep us in the Premier League.

"To get to 42 points with six games to go is a great achievement, but now we need to get to 46 points to improve on last season - that's a massive, massive aim for us.

"If we can reach that, then it will have been a top, top season for us, especially when you take into account the fact that we also reached the quarter-finals of the FA Cup.

"We want to build upon this and keep on improving as a club, so it is important that we finish as strongly as possible to have that to take into next season."
