Pulis ignores contract talks

Stoke City boss Tony Pulis has vowed not to become involved in the discussions over a new contract fro Republic of Ireland midfielder Liam Lawrence.
The 27-year-old is seeking an increase in wages after helping the Potters to a mid-table finish on their return to the Premier League, with talks over a new contract ongoing.
Pulis told The Sentinel: "I'm not getting involved in his contract because I leave that to others upstairs.
"All I know is that he had a smashing end to the season and did so well that he forced his way back into international contention.
"He'll now be dreaming of the World Cup finals, knowing Liam, and the chance to get there with Ireland will have him stoked up for the new season.
"He's been with us almost from the start of this incredible journey of ours and his task now is to keep pace as we try and move things on again."
