Pulis has no worries about Crouch

Tony Pulis is confident Peter Crouch will show the right attitude for Stoke and is not worried about the England striker's public profile.

Crouch became the Potters' record signing when he completed a £10million move from Tottenham on transfer deadline day. The player's wife, model and television presenter Abbey Clancy, is reportedly unhappy about the prospect of leaving London and there have been question marks raised as to how Crouch might adjust to life with the Staffordshire outfit.

"Peter is a great lad and I think you're pigeon-holing someone just because their picture is in the paper," Pulis said.

"He is a fantastic kid, very down to earth, and we are absolutely delighted to have him - and we'll have him as a footballer.

"What Peter does in his private life is up to him and he should be able to do what he wants to do within reason.

"As long as he comes along, trains well, works hard and then does it on a Saturday, we will be absolutely delighted."

He added: "I spoke to Peter Thursday and he is looking for property up here, and I think his wife was up looking with him."
