Pulis drops Beattie bombshell

Stoke City boss Tony Pulis has ruled James Beattie and Danny Higginbotham out of Saturday's Premier League game at Fulham.

Higginbotham could need a back operation that will end his season while Beattie has a thigh injury.

Andy Wilkinson is also a doubt because of a back problem.

Pulis confirmed: "It's a massive blow to lose two big players like these two.

"We're going to be a little bit hamstrung for Saturday.

"James has got a thigh injury, Danny has hurt one of his discs in his back and Wilko is still struggling with his back."

The Potters are also currently without long-term injury victims Mama Sidibe, Salif Diao and Amdy Faye.
