Stoke City have added midfielder Amady Faye to their ranks on the eve of the new Premier League season.
The 31-year-old Senegal international has joined the Potters on a one-year contract from Charlton Athletic for an undisclosed fee.
Faye, who has played in the Premier League with Portsmouth, Newcastle United and the Addicks, has been training with Stoke for the past week.
The defensive midfielder has also spent time in the Scottish Premier League with Rangers.
"He's very strong and athletic and he has important experience at the top level we can call upon," manager Tony Pulis told the club's official website.
"I've liked the look of him in training and also liked his attitude in the few days he's been with us.
"I think he did well in the short time he was on the pitch in the friendly against Osasuna."
