Potters re-sign loan striker

Stoke City have re-signed former loan striker Paul Gallagher from Blackburn Rovers.

The 23-year-old forward, who spent the entire 2005-06 campaign on loan at the Britannia Stadium and scored 12 goals, has signed for the Championship club until the end of the season.

Gallagher recently returned to Ewood Park from a loan spell in the Championship with Preston North End.

"He is an absolutely fantastic signing, who he has good quality and is very different to what we already have," manager Tony Pulis told the club's official website.

"We know him from last time he was here and we know he can score goals."
