Potters prepare for Cort loan
22 Sep 2009 - 10:15:44
Leon Cort appears to be on the verge of leaving Stoke City and moving to a Championship side on loan.
Newcastle United, Middlesbrough and Nottingham Forest have all been linked with Cort, who has dropped out of the first-team picture following the recent arrivals of Robert Huth and Danny Collins.
"The gaffer's told me there's been a bit of interest in me from other clubs and that they're good clubs," Cort told the Sentinel.
"You never know what's going to happen, but it's really hard at the minute when you aren't playing. I've had a fantastic time here at Stoke, but you want to be playing football."
Cort, who is expected to feature in the Carling Cup third-round clash with Blackpool, added: "Yes, I'm in the shop window and it could work both ways. Someone could be watching you and you have a 'mare.
"I think you just have to approach the game with a determination to go out there and do the business, so there won't be a conflict of interest as far as I'm concerned."
