Potters ponder appeal
07 Nov 2006 - 10:45:51
Stoke City boss Tony Pulis thought Ricardo Fuller was unlucky to be dismissed in Monday's Championship clash with Coventry City at the Britannia Stadium.
The Jamaica international saw red for elbowing Michael Doyle, just after Andy Griffin had scored the only goal of the game for the Potters with a spectacular strike.
"I was disappointed with the sending-off," Pulis admitted.
"I'll watch it again, but I think their lad had his arms around him and Ric's lifted his arms to pull away.
"It was a very harsh sending-off and I think we'll appeal against it.
"He (Fuller) could have scored two or three and that's what he's like. He's frustrating at times, but every game he plays in he looks as though he's going to score goals."
