Potters lose young prospect

Hungarian midfielder Adam Vass has left Stoke City and signed for Italian side Brescia. The 18-year-old turned down the offer of a new deal at the Britannia Stadium in favour of a move to the Serie B side. Vass signed for the Potters in 2004 but failed to break into the first-team picture. "We offered him a contract as we felt he was a player with huge potential," chief executive Tony Scholes told the club's official website. "Adam consulted his national team manager and was told he would need to play regular first-team football to benefit his development as a player. "He felt as though the move to Italy would give him more chance of that and his agent has today informed us that he has agreed to join Brescia."
