Potters land winger Pugh

Stoke City have completed the permanent signing of Danny Pugh in a £500,000 transfer from Preston North End.

The 25-year-old winger had been on loan at the Britannia Stadium since November.

Pugh, who came through the ranks at Manchester United before joining Leeds United in 2004, has signed a three-and-a-half year contract with the Potters.

He has already made 13 appearances for Tony Pulis' side.

"Danny's already a big part of the team here and I'm delighted to have tied him down on a permanent deal," Pulis told the club's official website.

"He's come in on loan and done extremely well, played in three different positions and never let us down."
