Stoke City boss Tony Pulis has agreed a deal to sign Hull City forward Jon Parkin on loan until the end of the season as he looks to bolster his shot-shy strikeforce.

The 25-year old former Barnsley, Macclesfield Town and York City star has struggled to refind his early season form for Hull since returning from injury.

Tigers manager Phil Brown has opted to let the burly forward leave the KC Stadium on loan after snapping up Bolton winger Ricardo Vaz Te.

Stoke's assistant manager Dave Kemp told the club's official website: "Hopefully he'll bring us goals.

"Everyone knows we've been light on goals, and we've been desperate to get someone in."
