Stoke City manager Tony Pulis has reiterated his desire to sign Portsmouth striker David Nugent on loan.
The 22-year-old former Preston North End star was expected to seal a temporary switch to Ipswich Town this week, but any potential move to Portman Road now appears to have fallen through.
Pulis remains keen to sign Nugent though, saying: "I don't know what's happened with Ipswich, but if we're going to do business then we'll do it with Portsmouth.
"If there's an area that we need another player it's up front."
