Stoke City duo Thomas Sorensen and James Beattie are expected to be fit enough to feature in this weekend's clash against Bolton Wanderers.
Both players picked up injuries in the first half of Saturday's heartbreaking 2-1 defeat against Chelsea but are making good recoveries.
Potters boss Tony Pulis told the club's official website: "I think Thomas will be fine, and I'm also hopeful James will be the same.
"With Thomas it was a mixture of things. He had to travel back from Albania before the game and didn't really train on Friday, and then he got stuck in a bit of traffic before the match on Saturday.
"During the match he felt his back a little bit and it was best to take him off rather than risk causing any major problems.
"With James I think we've been a little bit lucky because at first it looked like he'd broken his ankle or damaged his ligaments, but fortunately I think he's just burst a blood vessel.
"His ankle is still swollen up, but he's a determined kid and he's desperate to be involved."
